INGREDIENT

METHOD

Step # 1

Cook the bulgur in a heavy-based saucepan. Bring one cup of water to boil and then drop in the bulgur. Stir and reduce the heat to a simmer. Cover the saucepan and allow to simmer for 40 minutes. Keep an eye on the bulgur if the water is absorbed earlier, test for readiness or add more water to prevent burning.

Step # 2

Remove bulgur and put to one side to cool slightly.

Step # 3

Combine the remaining ingredients in a large bowl. Mix well.

Step # 4

Add the cooked bulgur and mix well.

Step # 5

Cover the bowl and place in the refrigerator. Leave for a minimum of one hour.

Step # 6

Serve. Provide a large ladle for easy serving straight to plates.
