METHOD

Step # 1

Bring milk and water to the boil.

Step # 2

Wash and drain barley.

Step # 3

Add barley to water and milk. Cover and simmer until barley is soft.

Step # 4

Cool, beat in eggs and butter with salt & pepper and a pinch of nutmeg.

Step # 5

Shape into patties, roll in flour and fry in butter until browned.
